Kevin Moffatt is a senior associate and his practice focuses on real property law.  He is experienced in residential and commercial real estate transactions, title insurance, title issues, conveyancing, lending, foreclosures, creditor default services, rights-of-way acquisitions, mineral leasing issues, mineral title and drilling opinions, and business transactions.  He has practiced real property law for over two decades, mostly while managing his own law firm for more than a decade. Prior to attending law school, he worked for a major pipe, valve and fitting distributor serving the chemical, oil and natural gas, and coal industries.

Mr. Moffatt is licensed to practice in West Virginia, Ohio and Pennsylvania.  His admissions include the Supreme Court of Appeals of West Virginia, U. S. District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of West Virginia, The Supreme Court of Ohio, and Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.

Mr. Moffatt is a Bachelor of Arts graduate of West Virginia University, magna cum laude, and was awarded his Doctor of Jurisprudence from the West Virginia University College of Law.

He is a member of the American Association of Professional Landmen, Energy & Mineral Law Foundation, and serves on the Energy Law Committee for the West Virginia State Bar.  Mr. Moffatt has presented and lectured at the Annual Institute of the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation, classes for West Virginia Continuing Legal Education, and annual meeting of the West Virginia Land & Mineral Owners Association.  Mr. Moffatt also is an approved attorney for First American Title Insurance Company, Old Republic National Title Insurance Company, and Stewart Title Guaranty Company.
